Nokia Lumia 620 Vs. 625

Nokia Lumia 620 Vs. 625

The Lumia series from Nokia is among the smart options in the smartphone devices. The company has embarked with several phones in this series, but if you talk about the top options in big screen you can call Nokia Lumia 625 and to some extent Lumia 620 as good alternatives to go with. However, before you actually take any decision, it is always better to compare the two and then take your buying decision. Let’s check the Nokia Lumia 620 versus the Nokia Lumia 625 as under:

The Build quality and durability

Both these devices have very much similar kind of designs and build-in qualities. Unlike the other Lumia phones these are simply colorful plastic rectangles. The Nokia Lumia 625 is much slimmer that is found out to be of 9.2 mm as compared to the 11 mm Lumia 620 phone. However, it is also a lot bigger and heavier, that comes at 159 grams while the 620 is merely of 127 grams.

The display

The Nokia Lumia 620 comes with a display of 3.8 inches and of 480 x 800 carrying a pixel density of 246 pixels per inch, which is certainly not a bad option for a budget smartphone. On the contrary, Lumia 625 is substantially bigger having 4.7 inches display, however, the resolution is similar of 480 x 800 that lead to a pixel density of 199 pixels per inch. So a phone with big screen over a low end phone is simply great and almost unique thing to see in smartphone world. However a 480 x 800 resolution simply doesn’t cut over a screen that size, hence you can go for a smaller Lumia 620 over the other one.

The Camera

The Nokia Lumia 620 carries a 5MP camera, which is competent to shoot 720p video at 30FPS, while the 625 also has the same 5MPcamera. However, if you look at the video capabilities, the latter seems to be slightly better than the other as it is competent to shoot 1080p video at 30FPS.

The Power

The Nokia Lumia 620 comes with a 1 GHz dual core processor having a 512 MB RAM, whereas the Lumia 625 has a slightly improved 1.2 GHz dual core processor with similar size RAM (512). Here you may not find a huge amount of power difference for either handset; however, Windows Phone 8 seems to work far better over the low end devices, so it’s not big problem over either of these devices.

Battery life, memory and connectivity

Talking about the battery life, Nokia Lumia 620 has a 1300 mAh battery, which can run up to 330 hours with a standby time of 9 hours and 50 minutes of talk time going for 61 hours for the 3G of music playback. On the other side, Nokia Lumia 625 has a far better battery of 2000 mAh, which can run for 552 hours for the standby time and 15 hours and 10 minutes of 3G talk time.

Both the devices come with a built in 8GB of storage backed by a support of micro SD cards that goes up to 64 GB, so there’s nothing much to talk about in the memory perse. However, for connectivity, there are a limited amount of differences in the two handsets connectivity options. The Lumia 620 supports Wi-Fi, 3G, NFC and Bluetooth 3.0, whereas Nokia Lumia 625 simply supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, and 4G. Hence to put in other words the Lumia 625 lacks in NFC, however, is promised with 4G.
