This new project is an ambitious one and needs Rs 3,600 corer for completion. It has now been included with the 2nd phase of the Bangalore Metro project. The new project is going to be categorised as the Phase 2A. This new line, also known as Outer Ring Road Metro or the ORR Metro is going to have 13 stations. It is going to connect the HSR Layout area, Kadubeesanahalli, Bellandur, Doddanekundi, Marathahalli and Mahadevapura.




Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has closely reviewed the projects of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd on Wednesday and has commented that around 10 lakh people working in the ITBT industry regularly commute between the Central Silk Board Junction and the K R Puram on a regular basis and traffic jam is the biggest problem that they have to face. The professionals working with the IT industry have to spend long hours in their vehicles due to extensive traffic snarls. This is not only counterproductive for the IT industry but it also leads to a lot of chaos and mismanagement. This has led the Karnataka Government to brain storm with the head honchos of the ITITeS and biotechnology sectors and the traffic experts to find out effective solutions for such problems. The government of Karnataka has therefore worked out numerous decongestion plans to resolve this problem and the new Metro Rail line is definitely the most important one of these.

Siddaramaiah strongly believes that that new proposed Metro line between the Central Silk Board Junction and the KR Puram is going to work greatly to reduce the vehicular density on this stretch of the road that has surmounted into such a major issue. The new Metro line is also going to be an economical solution for the traffic issue in years to come. Siddaramaiah has already ordered the BMRC authorities to present with a detailed report for the project by October 20.

When it comes to the funding for this project, Siddaramaiah has said that BMRC is currently working on numerous innovative financing techniques. One of the senior IAS officers has explained that as the mobilisation of funds to cater to the Metro line like this is rather huge, it has been decided that the money will be derived from multiple sources. Our Government should take action on these types of products by increasing excise duty/import duty by 200%. As the billing from China are under billings. So that our country should not loose excise revenue and our local manufacturers would be in a position to compete their products as per quality and price wise. Our Government have to promote Indian products not other country products that will help to decrease the unemployment in India.
