A car is much more than a necessity these days. For some people it is a status symbol,…

A car is much more than a necessity these days. For some people it is a status symbol, for some it is basic travelling need whereas to some it is love. Difficulty in availing public transportation is also a reason for its demand. Owning a car can provide you with absolute autonomy. It also provides flexibility such that one can use it as and when required and doesn’t need to depend on any schedule of the public transport. Just as cars, car parts for sale are available and they are a huge rage among the car owners.
Most Popular car parts for sale are as follows:

Radiator

Catalytic Convertor

Strut Assembly

Fuel Pump

Control Arm

Oxygen Sensor

Air Filter

Ignition coil

Potential Purchaser for Car Parts
The major purchasers of car parts are definitely the car manufacturers. Car parts are made with a variety of items which comprise of metals like steel, aluminium, iron and copper. Besides these plastic, rubber, glass are also used. These are used to make heavy gears like transmissions and engines. Such materials have undergone technological advancement throughout the years resulting in new automotive technology. Apart from the manufacturers the wholesaler might be the potential purchaser of car parts for sale to provide additional support to car dealers and build a healthy relationship with them. Car repair shops also look for car parts to cope with the need of their trade. They help the car owners by providing the part of their car which is to be replaced. A car mechanic is also a potential buyer.
Selling Used Car Parts Effectively
Before selling an old car, owners should reconsider its plight. If it has undergone irreparable wear and tear, the best place will be junkyard. However, if different parts of car are still working, they can be considered for sale. Giving out car parts for sale is nothing less than giving the car for sale. The easiest option to put them on sale is obviously the internet these days, so one needs to look for a good website. It provides effortless experience simultaneously providing access to a huge number of customers. Also check that these website always keeps back small percentage from the sale and reaches potential buyers.
The seller must have an insight into what is popular among the buyers. Parts like spark plugs and transmissions are hardly bought whereas radio, speakers, subwoofers, HVAC controls normally remain in huge demand. New tire being expensive, used car’s tires are also popular amongst car owners. Headlights are also popular with buyers. It must be verified that the car parts for sale are actually working. The first step to it is throwing out the parts which are not in the condition of functioning by testing them individually. To top them all one must be honest with the seller.
So, the advertisement of a car part must be detailed. It provides security to the customer. This will also annihilate the reputation of the seller. As pictures is the only way to show the car parts for sale to the customers, good pictures need to be taken for the sale of your product. They should show every possible angle of the part. The prices set should not be unreasonable they may be negotiable. Before setting the price sellers can look up for the price of similar products on websites to gain knowledge. the price of the car part must complement the condition the item. The price should be set keeping competition in mind as well. Other than selling car parts online, they can be sold to local junkyards which are involved in rebuilding projects. The seller can haggle here which is not an option for online buyers.

Technology in the auto sector seems to be developing at rapid speed. With test for self-driven cars currently ongoing, it seems as though we may soon see a technological revolution in the way we travel. There is a number of company’s leading the way. Tesla seem to be in pole position for technology having just announced the world’s first self-driven truck. We have compiled a list of some of the coolest features which could soon be fitted in your car.

Autonomous Driving

Self-driving cars are just around the corner. There are a number of companies who are in the final stages of testing for autonomous cars and the deployment of autonomous technology seems to be imminent. Some modern cars already feature self-parking features; however it is likely that soon we will be able to take our hands off the wheel completely. Some feature that autonomous cars will come at the cost of driving related jobs; but that may not necessarily be true. There is room for humans to be able to work alongside technology, rather than as opposed to it. Read more on 3d renderings.

On screen interactive displays

Technological developments are developing rapidly on the inside as well as the outside of vehicles. Car manufacturers are developing better interactive technology all the time. Drivers can now receive on-screen traffic, weather and directional updates without even needing to take their eyes off the road. Not only is this improving driving experiences, but it is also proving to be a lot safer. As the driver no longer needs to take his eyes off the road, they are less likely to become distracted.

Improved protection from theft

Soon, car theft may become a crime of the past. Car marquees are currently developing technology which allows a car owner to remotely shut down a car without having to be inside or even anywhere near it. This is likely to result in both theft deterrents and also the safe return of any vehicle which has been stolen. In addition to improved theft protection, GPS systems are becoming more accurate and widely used in new cars. This means that any car which has been taken will be able to be tracked down quickly and accurately.

Speed

Although fast travelling cars is nothing new, the inability for electric and renewable cars to travel at fast speeds has often been a barrier for people to make the switch from fuel-powered cars. However, we are starting to see a big development in the technology behind electric sports cars. Tesla recently announced the production of a new roadster with the ability to travel from 0-60mph in just 1.9 seconds. This is a speed which was recently widely thought to be impossible by electric cars. With Tesla leading the way with this latest development, we could expect rival manufacturers to soon follow suit. It won’t be long until speedy electrics are widely available.

Yes, cars will soon be able to communicate with one another. As scary as the thought is, the purpose of vehicle-to-communicate will provide a lot of useful information to road users. In the moment, Mercedes are the front runners when it comes to V2V communication. The latest Mercedes are able to provide information on traffic conditions, weather and critical information to other vehicles from the German manufacturers.

Connected Travel

Soon your car could become a hub of connectivity. In-car WiFi will soon allow passengers to receive and search for information on the move. Alongside the development of autonomous driving, ‘drivers’ could soon become passengers, allowing them to relax and use WiFi services while they travel. Annoying tasks such as driving around built-up areas in search of a parking spot could also soon be a think of the past with cars receiving real time updates with parking finder apps.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety declares that there were 35,092 deaths due to motor vehicle crashes in 2015. That is about 96 people per day being killed on American roadways. This includes pedestrians and bicyclists hit by motor vehicles and killed. On top of that would be the numbers for crashes that involve all sorts of injuries from broken bones to permanent paralysis. The toll on human life drives technological advancements to help drivers stay safe on the roads, and here are the top ones available today.

Brake Without Skidding

Anti-Lock braking technology met production vehicle models in the United States back in 1971 with the Chrysler Corporation’s Imperial. The anti-lock braking system (ABS) pulses the brakes rapidly to prevent the wheels from locking up and skidding. It works even if you press hard on the brake pedal to initiate an emergency stop. As the system evolved, more control of how each brake is applied has developed. You may see this on your car as electronic-stability control or another industry term.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 468px; height: 60px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1062932554684497" data-ad-slot="3004582167"></ins>

Back Up Without Hitting Things

Sensors installed at the rear of vehicles detect objects in your path when backing up that may not be seen in your rear view mirrors. The objects could be anything from a bicycle left behind your car in your driveway to a child sitting on the ground just behind your car. Inside the car you hear a beeping warning system that advises you of proximity between your car and the object.

See What Is Behind You

Cameras placed at the rear of passenger vehicles are slated to become mandatory as standard equipment by the 2018 model year beginning in the month of May. They are already an option or standard equipment on many vehicles. A camera lets you view what is behind you on a monitoring screen in the passenger compartment. One manufacturer offers a 360 degree view of the exterior of the vehicle to assist when navigating narrow spaces.

Hit the Brakes Even When You Do Not See the Danger

This system started out with sensors that warned you of something too close in front of you, but did not automatically apply the brakes. You had to respond to the early warning and hit the brakes yourself. Automobile manufacturers now offer various forward collision mitigation systems that will stop your car before hitting something in front of you. This can greatly reduce failure to yield side impact and rear end collisions at stop signs, traffic lights and in busy city traffic.

Crush Your Car Around You

You have probably heard of crumple zones and side-impact reinforcement beams. All these engineering feats are designed to take the energy produced by impact and disperse it around you and your passengers. The goal is to take crash energy and keep it out of the passenger compartment and away from the bodies of the occupants. The engineering works best when occupants are kept in place in their seats.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 250px; height: 250px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1062932554684497" data-ad-slot="7923851369"></ins>

To do this, their forward momentum needs to be slowed and halted as gently as possible to avoid unnecessary added injuries. Seat belts and airbags are restraint systems that help to keep you from flopping about inside your car in an accident. Added systems, such as padded areas for knees to hit, are also integrated into a system. If you do not wear a seat belt, you greatly reduce the engineered effectiveness of the system.

Other technologies include lane-departure warning systems and radar-like systems that warn you of vehicles in your blind spots. The latest is self-driving cars to take human driver error potential out of the equation of driving safety altogether.

The days have gotten shorter, the nights have gotten longer and it has definitely gotten colder, this can…

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 300px; height: 250px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1062932554684497" data-ad-slot="1854409767"></ins>

The days have gotten shorter, the nights have gotten longer and it has definitely gotten colder, this can only mean one thing, winter is coming. It is very easy to take your car for granted, but even the most modern of cars can struggle in winter. However, there are many things you can do to combat this and help to keep your car running smoothly, even in the coldest of climates.

Check your tyres

Slippery roads are a certainty around the U.K in winter. They are extremely dangerous as most of the time you can’t see how bad they are until it’s too late. To prevent ever losing control of your car on a cold, icy road you must check the amount of tread you have on your tyres before setting out. Experts agree that you should have a minimum depth of 3mm, although this is larger than is legally required, it is always better to be safe than sorry. Although the legal depth of tread is 1.6mm, it is worth bearing in mind that it takes an extra two car lengths (8 metres) to stop at 50 mph than if your tread was 3 millimetres. You should also check your tyre pressure. Although this will vary depending on the car and tyre, the recommended tyre pressure is usually between 30 and 35 PSI. If you are planning to do a lot of driving in winter then it might also be worthwhile you investing in some winter tyres or snow chains.

Always refill the radiator

It may sound a little obvious, but many of us are guilty of not topping up our car radiators enough. Keeping these topped up with antifreeze in the winter is incredibly important as it will stop the liquid in the cooling system from turning into ice. It is always a good idea to keep an extra bottle of this in your boot for emergencies.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 468px; height: 60px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1062932554684497" data-ad-slot="3004582167"></ins>

Make sure you drive your car

This might sound strange, but during winter it’s hugely important to actually drive your car as an unused car seize up during the cold, the battery can go flat and mildew can build up on the interior. By using it when you can you can keep it warm and ensure the car will run smoothly whenever you need it.

Don’t rush to start your car

Starting your car during extreme cold can be a nervous moment, so many of rush it and turn the ignition on as soon as possible, even though this could potentially damage your car. However, it is worthwhile leaving the ignition on for approximately five seconds before activating the starter motor. This will allow fuel pumps time to pressurise and the car’s electrical system will have the chance to complete any diagnostics check first, saving the battery the extra stress of performing these tasks while it has to churn the engine over.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 250px; height: 250px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1062932554684497" data-ad-slot="7923851369"></ins>

Avoid revving the engine

When your car is cold the engine oil takes longer to reach the moving parts and so revving the engine needlessly will increase wear rates, as well as wasting fuel. Never run the engine in an enclosed space, the exhaust gases are still poisonous even on the most modern of vehicles.

Find a good parking space

When the mornings are extra cold and there’s ice on the ground we all have that same nervous thought when first getting into our cars, “please start first time”. Well, to give your car the best chance of starting straight away you need to park it in a sheltered and preferably dry place. If you don’t have a car cover or sheltered area then try leaving your car in the lee of your house or beside a tall hedge. This will then help to protect it against the cold elements and reduce the chances of it not starting.

Check your battery

The cold and wet weather that winter brings is a complete battery killer. Although we have already discussed how to prevent your car from seizing up and not starting, it is still a good idea to test your battery before winter arrives. That way you already know if you need to invest in a new one and you won’t have any unwelcomed surprises later in the year. With the correct equipment you can actually check this yourself, otherwise you can take your car to a specialist where they can do this quickly.

Check your screen wash

In spring and summer many of us get away with just putting water in our windscreen washer, however, in winter it is worth switching this for a ready mixed or concentrated screen wash. This is because there is a much higher chance of your windscreen wipers smearing grime and dirt during winter. Water simply won’t get rid of this efficiently and not to mention screen wash has a lower freezing temperature too, meaning you won’t end up with frozen washer jets on a cold winter’s morning.

Check your exterior lights

During winter you will do much more driving in the dark, so be sure to always check and clean your lights regularly. The salt and dirt can quickly build-up, reducing visibility at night as well as during periods of snow, fog and rain. It is always good to carry extra bulbs in case of a failure.

Check under the bonnet

During winter, it’s very easy for wet, dead leaves to find their way into your car and under your bonnet, blocking your interior air vents, so be sure to check for this before starting your journey. If the inside of your car becomes misty then make sure to switch on your air conditioning. This will help to both defog the interior and help to keep it in optimum condition.

Winter can be a dangerous time to drive in, so when you do have to get in your car make sure you have the following items ready if you need them:

A hazard warning triangle

Hi-visibility vest

De-icer and a scraper

Screen wash

A shovel

A mobile phone and charger

A first aid kit

A tow rope

Warm clothes

Food and drink

Wellington boots

A torch

Automotive window films are usually installed for a couple of primary reasons depending on the personal preferences and needs of the owner. But did you know that there are numerous additional benefits to installing and applying automotive window films that many car owners have failed to consider and which make window tinting an all-round amazing idea?

Here are some amazing benefits you can expect from automotive window films:
<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 468px; height: 60px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1062932554684497" data-ad-slot="3004582167"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 468px; height: 60px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1062932554684497" data-ad-slot="3004582167"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 468px; height: 60px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1062932554684497" data-ad-slot="3004582167"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 468px; height: 60px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1062932554684497" data-ad-slot="3004582167"></ins>
Jeep Renegade

The release of Cherokee Jeep this year still has people talking about the design future of this vehicle brand. Well the truth is that in 2015 the chatters will even be more. This is because the new model that is making its debut next year will be small, subcompact and amazing engine power. Its major specifications are:

Butch styling

Turbo motor

Removable roof panels

·V-8 engine

Light-weight.

This is a sneak preview of what to expect as far as latest high-end technology in cars in 2015 is concerned. Automakers will make a stormy debut with Vehicles that incorporate technological features you probably only see in movies.

Facts are facts, and a seemingly daunting, but potent medicine for the curing of an ailing planet is having less waste and toxins on the face of the Earth, as well as in your body. What’s an easy, fun and green way to accomplish this in your own personal way? There are a myriad of benefits to bicycling, not only for your body, mind and soul, but certainly for the environment as well. Forward thinking, conscientious people across the world have been putting two tires on the streets as a primary means of transportation for a long, long time. The concept and its practice, however, is now really starting to catch fire, and to an extremely trendy, fashionable degree.

Although here in the United States our culture appears to almost entirely revolve around trends, the mass majority of folks still surprisingly seem to be dragging their feet concerning biking. Obviously this isn’t the only beneficial concept that we tend to give the cold shoulder, especially if it involves exercise, discomfort and exerting ourselves. But perhaps this is precisely why developers at MIT created the innovative Copenhagen Wheel in the first place.

Bikes are not only fun, they’re sensible, but there are definite reasons as to why many folks don’t use them for transportation on a regular basis. For instance, biking to work may leave you sweaty, a tad stinky and a bit exhausted depending on the journey. And while biking is a perfect way to rectify it, if you’re out of shape then biking to work seems like an impossible uphill climb. But the Copenhagen Wheel is about to add its two cents to the equation. The simple device easily snaps right onto your bike and performs technological wonders. It remarkably aids in conserving your energy by storing the energy you already use and saving it for when it’s most needed. You’ll feel like your gliding across flat terrain as you power uphill.
What is the Trucker Shortage?

By 2013, the American trucking and over-road freight industry was looking at a massive shortage of working truckers. As the months passed this shortage became more serious. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that companies hired around 40,000 truckers from mid-2012 to mid-2013, but this was not nearly enough to meet demand. Around the country trucking businesses continue to pursue aggressive hiring strategies to find the necessary drivers. As many as 100,000 new drivers may end up being necessary.

Why Does It Exist?

Several factors have contributed to the shortage. First, the number of younger, active truckers has been dropping for years. Recently many older truckers reached retirement age and they are beginning to leave the industry. However, finding replacements for them has proven very difficult. Second, general demand for truckers is increasing as companies expand their customer bases through the Internet and recover their sales following poor economic conditions in the recession. This has grown the need for more trucks out on the road.

Finally, the quality of life poses several problems when filling trucker positions. The job can be demanding, especially for long hauls that take truckers away from their homes for days at a time. Current American workers have proven cautious when it comes from being separated from their friends and family, making it difficult to fill some of the tougher positions. Turnover tends to be very, very high.

What Kind of Truckers are Most Needed?

Retail companies have seen the most growth and the greatest demand for truckers in recent times. This involves shipping retail products from warehouses to distribution centers or to final destinations, depending on the company. It is generally not as demanding as long hauls for large freight or fuel. Many retail companies operate only within a certain radius from their warehouses.

Will Truckers Get Paid More?

Yes. In an effort to attract more truckers to the industry, companies are raising their prices and wage models. The Truck Safety Coalition is also pushing for more restrictions on how long truckers drive and how they are paid, plans designed to make the job easier and more simple to start for inexperienced drivers. This may lower turnover rates and help to meet demand.

What Does This Mean for the Economy?

The trucker shortage is affecting the economy in several ways. First, it is allowing truckers to earn more wages and have a better quality of life. This is the good news, especially for the trucking industry and the way it is evolving. The bad news is that the shortage is forcing companies to change the way they price goods. Paying more for trucking often means that retail companies are raising their prices on shipping and the retail costs of their products, which can make them more difficult to afford.

What Can I Do To Take Advantage of the Shortage?

If you want to take advantage of the shortage but have little experience, look around for trucker school deals. Many are offering discounts, promotions, and great deals, especially for certain groups like military veterans. With enough training under your belt, it is time to look for well-paying positions and opportunities for advancement. Truckers are paid an average of $38,000, but this number is on the rise. It is also becoming more common to pay drivers by the hour instead of by the mile, an easier figure to understand and calculate.
